Can terrazzo floors really be restored, or do they need to be replaced?
In the vast majority of cases, terrazzo can be fully restored. As long as the substrate is intact, our grinding and polishing process removes decades of scratches, stains, and dullness to reveal the original material beneath. Replacement is rarely necessary and far more costly.
How long does terrazzo restoration take?
A standard room takes one to two days. A full home averages three to five days. We work room by room so you're never completely without access to your home. Floors are walkable within a few hours of final sealing.
How do I maintain terrazzo after restoration?
Sweep regularly with a microfiber mop and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid vinegar, bleach, and ammonia-based products, which dull the finish over time. We recommend resealing every two to three years to maintain protection.
